How does Duty Free work?

We have a selection of cigars available Duty Free for persons travelling internationally through Auckland Airport. View our Duty Free page for current availability.
Place your order either instore or via the website and your goods will be waiting for you at The Collection Point once you pass through Customs at Auckland International Airport.
Please note: We require payment to be cleared at least four working days prior to travel. This is to avoid any delays in the courier getting your order to the airport, but also allowing sufficient time for your order to be able to pass security inspection and be ready for pickup at The Collection Point.
Duty Free allowances for tobacco product depend on which country you are travelling to. For example;

For entry into New Zealand, Duty-free tobacco is limited to:

• 50 cigarettes or 50 grams of cigars or tobacco products, or
• 50 grams of a mixture of all three

Your allowance may also be combined with any other person over the age of 18 years who is travelling with you. If you are not combining your allowance with another traveller accompanying you on the same flight, then you must declare any overages and pay duty and GST on the excess amount. If you fail to declare tobacco, it may be seized and you could face further action.
